Hi,

I've been building the command in https://forum.voiceattack.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=d068fe71d8ff565c286ba477588fa9f9&topic=1825.msg9499#msg9499

Everything seems to work perfectly fine but I don't the the dictation into the variable. I've seen more people having the same issue. I've tried the new speed profile and so on but to no avail. Repairing Windows isn't really an option...

Have you found a fix for this?

Is the "Use Installed Speech Platform Speech Engines" option on the "System / Advanced" tab of the VoiceAttack options window selected?

It wasn't but I don't know if it should be. I checked it and tried. Got the error

It shouldn't be, no.

Click the wrench icon on VoiceAttack's main window, and on the "General" tab of the VoiceAttack options window click "System info >", choose "Generate Settings Summary", then "Write to File"; Save the file and attach it to your post here.

If you create a new profile, then create a command containing only the "Start Dictation Mode" action, I.E.

Start Dictation Mode
save the profile, execute the command, hold down button 18 on your joystick, and speak any phrase that isn't that of the command you just created (E.G. "this is a dictation phrase"), is there an "Append Dictation Buffer:" message in the log on VoiceAttack's main window?

Very late reply... sorry about that. No, there's no "Start Dictation Mode"

As in, you couldn't find the action?

There is no notification that the dictation mode starts or stops (unless you try to start it while it's already active); the log message when a dictation phrase is recognized would begin with "Append Dictation Buffer:"


If you start the Windows Speech Recognition application while VoiceAttack is running, does that application's dictation system work?
