"Edit a Command" windows size resetting (too large)
« on: June 04, 2020, 07:18:42 AM »
V1.8.5
3440 x 1440 resolution
150% scaling

The main VA window and the "Edit a Profile" screens remember their placement and size just fine. "Edit a Command" however is opening VERY large, often with the OK/Cancel buttons off-screen. I can drag to resize or reposition it but the next one or the same command opened up reverts back to super-sized.

I've attached a gif recording of this behavior.

Have you tried different sizes, I.E. not making the window as small as possible?

I just attempted this, only reducing the X and the Y a little bit, and one at a time. The size still reverts back up.

Do you have any other scaling options enabled? E.G. the "Make text bigger" option in the "Display" subsection of the "Ease of Access" section of the settings app?

Are you using a single display, or do you have more than one screen?

I do have multiple monitors. This issue persists whether I'm only using my primary ultrawide or if the two portrait monitors are also enabled.

In my Windows 10 "Advanced Scaling Settings" I only have the "Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry" option ON, nothing with custom scaling.

I've attached the Display Ease of Access settings.

Mixing scaling settings, assuming your additional displays are not also set to 150%, could explain the issue.

Did you disable them by setting the "Multiple displays" option to "Show only on 1"? Did you reboot afterward?

I use Display Fusion to control/save/load profiles of which monitors to use. I would not typically reboot between changing between my single or three-monitor profiles.

As of this morning, I've been using my single-monitor profile all week with one or two full system reboots each day.

I'll take a peek under the hood to see if something is changed/different in that regard.

I'm not able to find anything that stands out immediately - I'll keep an eye on this to see if I can identify a pattern.

Doc - I'm thinking the latest release version of VA should help out with what you were experiencing.  Could you confirm?

YES! I'm an avid Beta-user so I have been seeing the resizing fix. SO appreciated man.

Keep up the amazing work!
