Constantly listening even when disabled
« on: April 17, 2020, 10:23:00 AM »
I'm using VoiceAttack with "push-to-talk", but even when it's not supposed to listen it will do so. It will not run commands but will eat CPU.

Idle CPU is 0-1%, when I constantly speak or do something that causes sounds it will creep up to 4% (+ the voice feedback progressbar thingy shows that it detected sound).

Is it possible to disable the listening on mic when it is not supposed to listen? The GUI is constantly visible to me and it is quite anoying to see the progress bar moving when it is not supposed to.

VoiceAttack keeps listening in the background so you can use a spoken command with the "Make VoiceAttack Start Listening" action to enable listening again, or an "Override listening if my spoken command begins with" prefix.

Aside from muting your microphone (to all applications), there is no method to disable this.
