Set Audio Levels - Recording and Playback Device dropdowns blank

Hi
Hope this has not been addressed already, have searched but did not see anything.
When I go into Set Audio Levels and select either Recording OR Playback Devices the Dropdowns are completely blank.
I have tried in both the current Release and the latest Beta versions (v1.8.3.12 (prerelease))
Am I missing something??

Actually, this has not been presented before.

What is happening is VoiceAttack is asking Windows for its list of available devices and it's not being given any to display.  Have you tried running VA as an admin to see if it's possibly a permission issue?

Yes I always run VA in Admin Mode
I am a dev of a TTS App and I have not encountered this with Windows before, it is pretty basic enum stuff to get a list of available ins and outs.
Sorry, that sounds a bit negative and was not meant to be.
I have been an avid fan of VA since it was first released and promote the product as much as I can on my streams.
In fact if memory serves me correctly, I even emailed you back in 2015 recommending that the price you charge for VA is way too cheap

It's a very basic system - are you running on a virtual machine?

No Standard Win 10 Pro machine
No fancy networking or anything else

Wondering if your components have gotten borked in installation.  You may want to try doing a full uninstall to get the components out before reinstalling.

I will try that, oh and FYI I am using Voicemeeter Potato
But it was never an issue in your previous builds I could simply select the Voicemeeter input/output in VA easily but now they and all other Ins/Outs do simply not appear in the dropdown

Hmmm.  Have you tried disabling Voicemeeter to see if that affects anything?   Nothing's changed in that area of the code in some time.

OK uninstalled VA and downloaded latest release
List is now populated but function does not work
In Log I get Error setting Cable A (VB-Audio Cable A) volume: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

The Mute Function IS Working, just the mute button on VoiceMeeter does not light up
But anyway appreciate all you help Sir, consider this issue closed
