Tell what program I have focused?

I am trying to write a command for Elite Dangerous that will auto enter a system name into the galaxy map and hit enter so I can do it hands free in VR.

however, when chat asks about a system, I want to be able to select my chat window and still use the same command, but not have it hit enter

Is there a way in the VA coding, to have it do a check and see if a window is in focus or not?

Am using the {ACTIVEWINDOWTITLE} and making sure to see if Elite is in focus
