Hello Everyone,

i'm using the "Speech Engine Microsoft Server Speech Recognition Language -TELE (en-CA)"
after upgrading to v1.7.6 (previously 1.7.3) a lot of my commands are not recognised anymore.

since the changelog does not mention anything regarding the custom speech engines im wondering if im the only one facing this issue or if there is a bug in the latest update.

i'll happily prove additional information if needed

Kind Regards

Are you using Speech Platform 11?

As far as I'm personally aware, nothing has changed for alternate speech engine use specifically.

Have you tried rolling back to v1.7.3 (using the installer from the release topic), to see if that makes a difference?

yes I'm using the Speech Platform 11

i have rerolled i hat to make a new profile to test it out but it works
the same commands arent working on 1.7.6

unfortunately the hcs voicepacks aren't compatible with 1.7.3 anymore which was the main reason why i updated

Are the exact same words/phrases getting recognized with v1.7.3, but not with v1.7.6?

yes indeed
i haven't tried all commands just the one i use on a regular bases which are "navigation; transaction; departure handover; clear the masslock; dismiss ship; request docking"

the longer commands like "clear the area and go to jump; protocol override customise my settings; next system in route" are recognised although with around -10 to -15 on the confidence level

since there are a few versions betwen i tried it with 1.7.5 and still every thing works as indended

Have you tried creating a brand new profile with a few test commands to see if anything works in there?

Also, when you say the commands are not recognized, does the log reflect this?  For instance, if you say, 'navigation' the log says, 'Unrecognized: navigation' (or something similar)?

yes I'm using a brand new profile with a couple of phrases for testing.
unfortunately with custom speech engines there are no unrecognized log entry's
the only indicator i have is an chat bubble with a lightning icon on the upper right corner which briefly flashes up if something is recognised but no future details

are there any log files which could provide more Information?

There are no log files that will show any details about that.

You are saying that rolling back to 1.7.3 fixes the issue for you?

Very, very strange.  The only thing I can suggest at this point is to try reinstalling 1.7.6 to see if something got hosed on install.  Very little (if anything) had changed with code handling the speech engine between 1.7.5 and 1.7.6.  I even installed the same speech engine that you are using here and it is working great for me (even with a somewhat-Texas accent).
