Voice Attack Stalls

Voice Attacks just stalls when it gets to the reading for Missing Keybinds. I have loaded elite and tried to play But Then voice attack is slow to respond to commands taking 15 to 20  seconds or more to work. I am using the latest version of voice attack. Updated today then this started It took at least 10 minutes for Voice Attack to finally finish checking for missing key binds. I didnt have any so I loaded elite and tried to play again took 10 to 15 seconds for any commands to be executed. never had this issue before. I have used Voice Attack for several years now. Help Please Voice Attack is unusable in its current state for me

Do you happen to have an antivirus that's running that could be hooking the key presses?

as Gary says, it could be an AV scanning keypresses

Setting your target in VA to "Active Window" does normally fix the issue as well
