Mic Not Recognized After Switching Headset
« on: December 06, 2018, 08:24:55 PM »
Folks...I'm so freaking frustrated I can't see straight.  I've replaced a USB Razer headset with a direct wired into RealTek on-board sound.  The mic works within the simulation software I use as well as TeamSpeak.  It's also recognized when I launch Windows Speech Recognition.  The ONLY thing that doesn't seem to work is VoiceAttack.  I've verified default settings within VA but still NOTHING.  Thanks in advance and help would be appreciated.  Thanks  ///Randy

Do me a favor if you will -  Try going to Options and then to the Recognition tab and then check the box labeled, 'disable acoustic echo cancellation' and see if that helps.  Something about Razer...  may be worth a shot.  Also, are you running anything like Sonic Studio or Nahimic (audio software)?

Gary.... I just have forgotten to respond to this.  This was a setting in Sonic.  I had to drill into it pretty deep to find it and it's still not making sense why this setting was set to off by default but it's working now.
