[v1.6.9.2] Freeze when testing TTS with default voice
« on: January 03, 2018, 10:53:54 AM »
voice attack is freezing when you press the preview button in the TTS window and the default voice is selected.
A window is opening:

'The application does not respond. The program may react again if you wait.
Do you want to end the process?'

This is not the case if the voice was explicitly selected.

Hi, BlackJack.  Welcome back :)

In recent versions (beta, like yours), the default can be specified per-profile in the profile options screen.  If, 'None' is selected, it defaults to Windows' selected TTS.  Do you have something selected in the profile options screen?  If it is, 'None', what voice do you have selected in the Windows Control Panel?  Try changing that voice to see if it makes a difference.

Hi Gary. Nice to be here again.

I've made tests with several voices.
The result was always the same.
But regarding to this Issue, I Disabled the Plugin Support.
No freeze any more, when previewing the TTS phrase.
To be sure EDDI is the reason for, I've took the EDDI folder out of the plugin folder. (and enabled the plugins again)
Still no freeze.
Move the folder back and the Issue is there.
