VA not receiving audio input

So, i have a Win 7 PC with Wireless USB Headset. All programs with mic input are working also Windows Speech Recognition ( I use it for email dictating)

I installed Voice Attack Last Stable and also tested the Beta still no luck, VA hears nothing the Volume Bar on the bottom shows nothing.

I done every thing write here on the forums about this problem to solve it, but nothing works.

Do some one have an idea, what can I do? I spent also some cash on the ELI Voice Pack for ED, but slowly I think it was wast of money :(

Yes and also done everything there but nothing helps, also i deleted my usb Audio driver, used a second usb head set, no luck.

Did you try checking the box to disable the acoustic echo cancellation?

Yes, and the same.  Version installed V.1.6.9.2 but it happens the same with the stable version.

Text Recognition from Windows works.

On your options screen, what do you have selected as your speech engine (Options > Recognition tab)?

What happens if you change that top dropdown to, 'System Default'?

Also, is that mic the one you are actually using (last option)?

I changed Speech Engine to system default. Still no change (restarted the Voice Attack)

Yes I have only this Wireless Headset on the PC.

What device to you have selected?  Just want to make sure that lines up with what's in the dropdown list from one of the screenshots you sent.

Have you tried another headset?

Have you made sure speech recognition is NOT disabled?  Confirm that the box labeled, 'Disable Speech Recognition' is NOT checked on the Options>System/Advanced tab.


From here, I'm not sure where to guide you, as there is something up on your system that's atypical and not accounted for.  Something is getting between the instantiated speech engine and your recording device.  What I've been able to collect over the years is in that very large thread, and if there's nothing in there that's able to help you, it's something that I haven't encountered in a decade.  You'll either want to seek out local assistance to try to troubleshoot, or send an email over to support@voiceattack.com and request a refund, as I am, unfortunately, out of answers.

I done everything mention above, but still not working. I will do a test on a different PC with my headset, when it works than I am 100% that some system app is blocking VoiceAttack.

Till than i am switching VoiceBot Pro, this works perfect with my system.

So, I tested VA and my Headset on a different PC and is working perfect.

My main PC installation is the problem :(

Will search for the software that blocks VA, will inform you.  (max re-installing Windows)

Problem solved, with drastically method Format C + Reinstall Windows 7 (now i can reinstall all my 280GB Games  >:( )
