Screen brightness and other FN+ keys
« on: December 30, 2017, 07:40:31 PM »
Is there a way to adjust screen brightness on a laptop and use the other functions that the FN+ another key do?

I tried to have it hold that the FN key ( what shows up as OEM) then the corresponding button like END, but it did nothing.

The function keys on a laptop are hardware-specific and have no virtual key analog, unfortunately.  Unless your laptop has some type of software interface that can control aspects of Windows, you're not going to be able to control it with VoiceAttack :(

To simulate a hardware brightness in Windows, you can always mess with your gamma settings.  Attached is an inline function if you want to try it (not my code... completely lifted from pinvoke.net).
