Issue with "Set Windows clipboard to" in Star Citizen
« on: December 17, 2017, 02:49:29 AM »
I have been using VA in Star Citizen for several months. I had come across a post, somewhere, explaining how to use VA to post in the in game chat. It has worked fine up until the latest test version of Star Citizen. All other commands work except "Set Windows clipboard to".
Below is a sample of how the command was setup, and working prior to Star Citizen 3.0 PTU:

Set Windows clipboard to 'This is a Test sent to chat'
Pause 0.5 seconds
Press Enter key and hold for 0.5 seconds and release
Pause 0.2 seconds
Press Left Ctrl+V keys and hold for 0.5 seconds and release
Pause 0.5 seconds
Press Enter key and hold for 0.5 seconds and release

The chat window opens, but nothing is pasted into it, then it closes.
I have tried increasing and decreasing the pause/hold times with no success.
VA is "Run as Admin"
Is this an issue with Star Citizen or has the command changed?
Is there another way to use VA to post into chat with preset responses?

a couple of things you could do

manually perform the key presses in game to see if the combination still works (copy something into your clipboard first)

plus, open notepad, set va to send the commands to it and then perform the cmd. VA will then show you the keys that are being pressed and you can verify that they are all working
The Singularity profile - One profile to rule them all and at HCS we bound them ;)

You see, TheThingIs, eventually you'll be allright.

So I tried the command with NotePad and it worked.
When I try in game, the Ctrl V does nothing.

Hi, there.  It's possible that either CTRL or V is being hooked for something else in your setup.

You might want to give Shift + Insert a try.
