va forum links - default with https?
« on: October 09, 2017, 04:31:41 AM »
hello there,

by default the link to this forum at http://voiceattack.com/#support-1 is plain text http, since there is a valid ssl-cert avaliable, wouldn't it be ok to redirect all http links to https?

i guess this iis/plesk instance :o in this hosted server should be able to do so

redirect/rewrite has the benefit that even existing http links will be forwarded to https.

greetings
T

Hi, there.  Simple Machines forums has just recently updated the software to allow for HTTPS.  At some point I will update the site for HTTPS.  For the moment, your employer will just have to see what you're doing during the day ;)

was more out of "don't send authentication credentials plain text over the internet"
