Questions about voices for Text-to-Speech
« on: April 16, 2017, 09:30:21 AM »
Hello all, and especially to Pfeil,

i would like to know:

Why i don't see in the combo box select voice, all the voices are in my Win10 ?

Is there a way for change quickly all my voices in a profile ? Example, i have choose Zira for each TTS and i would change all for David...

Thank you very much.
Have a nice sunday with your families.

Not all TTS voices are compatible with VoiceAttack. If a voice doesn't show up in the dropdown, it's likely not compatible and cannot be used.

The quickest way would be to export your profile, and do a search and replace in a text editor for the name of your currently selected TTS voice.

For example, if you have "Microsoft Anna" selected, the lines would look like
Code: [Select]
<Context2 xml:space="preserve">Microsoft Anna</Context2>Note that if a command does not have a specific voice selected(set to "Default"), this line will not exist for that command.

If you replace "Microsoft Anna" with the exact name of your new voice as it appears inside VoiceAttack, it should work when you re-import the profile.
