VoiceAttack dictionary editing
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:08:17 PM »
Hi there,

Was wondering if it's possible to remove/block/filter all the words from the VoiceAttack dictionary and then edit to add just those needed for the profiles ?

If VA only relies on WSR dictionary, is it an existing WSR feature or possibility instead ?

This way only the words added in the profile can be recognized and compared in the system.

Kind regards,

If you increase the command weight in the options screen to 100, you'll see what it's like to just have the profile's phrases in the dictionary.  Not quite sure you'll like what it does, though, as the speech engine will try to make a, 'best guess' as to what you say.  I haven't tried increasing to 100 and then adjust the confidence threshold... might be worth a try.

Thank you for the suggestion, pointing out this feature, and fast reply !

Just tried tweeking (even at 100) a little and as intended i could sense words from the profile passing through alot easier compared to unrecognized ones, but recognized ones harder to prevent activating similar commands, and even harder not using Push-to-Talk type keybinds in spite of increasing the confidence level.

I don't know if increasing the command weight feature fiddles with word confidence level or recognition/comparison factors, but i now recon that the results needed would be pretty much the same with the aproach i thought about after improving word recognition, so thanks for clearing up eventual unnecessary efforts^^

PS: Does WSR dictionary editing (word add + recording / word blocking) improves VA recognition as WSR trainning or VA just relies on its adaptive recognition feature ?
