VA not responding to joystick inputs

I'm trying to have VA trigger when I press a button on my Thrustmaster HOTAS X but it's not registering any joystick inputs, am I missing something?

Did you enable your joystick in the VoiceAttack options? Under the "General" tab, there's a "Joystick Options" button where need to select your joystick, before it can be utilized.
